Practical Squirrel
This holster is often called Practical, Tactical, Tunnel Loop or Askins after a colonel who popularized it. This holster is the king of comfort and very fast, but slightly less concealable because it does not follow the curve of the body as closely as the Pancake. This is particularly true if one has a slender build. This holster also often rides higher than the Pancake while still remaining stable. This holster is great for the range or when your covering garment is a photographer’s vest or a jacket rather than a thin shirt. This style also lends itself well to cross draw use when designed with the proper cant. At Secret Squirrel Leather this style is called a "Practical Squirrel."
