Roadkill Squirrel IWB
A very concealable holster if properly constructed which can be comfortable if one chooses pants a couple inches larger than normally worn. The design and execution of the holster is paramount for producing a holster which does not chafe or gouge the wearer. Other considerations in this style of holster include the relative importance to the wearer of being able to re-holster the firearm one handed. Reinforcing the mouth of the holster adds thickness but allows one to quickly stow the weapon without looking.
At Secret Squirrel I offer several different styles some adjustable and some fixed. I call my fixed cant model a “Fixed Squirrel” and my adjustable design an “Indecisive Squirrel” due to the fact that it can be adjusted for exact angle of cant or used as a cross draw. There are also variations of these available based on the method of attachment ie snaps, Chicago screws, or sewn loops. I also offer a “Road Kill Squirrel” which is an IWB with straps on either side of the holster’s “wings” which gives it a large flattened profile. This design allows for a slimmer profile and the choice of mouth reinforcement or none if a thinner profile is needed. This style is also very comfortable because of the large bearing surface. There are many variations of these holsters depending on the users needs.
