This holster was designed by me to be similar to a Kydex holster without the faults inherent in that material. This holster is normally made with the smooth leather inside to allow for a silky smooth draw. There is no clicking as with a Kydex holster and there is not the sudden release one gets with the Kydex as the indent in the trigger guard lets go of the gun. The smooth leather riding against the firearm results in a smooth draw which is not jerky or sudden. As a bonus the smooth leather against the finish of the firearm mitigates holster wear. This is the style I use when I am shooting IDPA and as a bonus it is concealable enough to wear to and from the range under your vest because the holster is not positioned so far from the side of the wearer as with some Kydex models. This holster is very comfortable to wear and carries the firearm low on the belt. This holster is only made in a vertical no cant format. The fit of the belt is most important with this holster and a cheap thin belt does not allow this holster to reach its full potential.
