Steps to Building a Pancake Style Holster:
  1. Trace the outline of the gun onto a file envelope assuring correct angle with a protractor, then draw outline of holster with the stitch lines
  2. Cut the pattern out and drape around handgun to check for fit and proper design
  3. Trace outline of pattern onto leather then cut out along trace lines
  4. Trace outline on exotic using cut out of leather and do the same with the suede
  5. Apply special glue to leather and exotic and to leather and suede then join pieces together
  6. Cut out joined pieces and sand edges to even them up
  7. Groove/mark stitch line then stitch along top and bottom edges to assure no separation of materials for life of holster
  8. Bevel top and bottom edges then slick them to make them smooth and rounded(the mark of a true master is the edges)
  9. Apply edge coat to seal edges(normally takes several coats of a thin epoxy style liquid)
  10. To avoid leather cracking apply a light coat of Neets Foot oil to cow hide on exotic piece and let penetrate
  11. Dye cow hide on exotic piece and let dry then buff to remove excess and polish to a smooth luster
  12. Cut out belt slots on each piece
  13. Draw stitch lines for trigger guard side and sight side, inside and out
  14. Apply glue to the trigger guard interior side of holster using the interior stitch lines as a guide and join together pieces lining up belt slot holes and sand edges flat
  15. Groove/mark edges and stitch then repeat for sight side
  16. Bevel edges, slick, and apply edge coat
  17. Wet holster and mould/bone to gun utilizing a hardwood dowel to create a sight track, then remove gun and let holster dry
  18. Apply Neets Foot oil to back piece smooth side of leather to preserve leather and prevent from cracking and set aside so it penetrates then dye rear piece and buff when dry
  19. Apply final coats of edge coat finishing epoxy to protect and dress up edges
  20. Spray a coat of Acrylic Resolene to rear piece of leather to protect and stabilize dye
  21. Test holster to assure proper fit and quality check entire holster to ensure perfection
